Terms and Conditions
2026

All parents are provided an account upon registration. Follow the instructions in the “Drum Student Account Setup” email that is sent to you to activate the account. Your account is a place to view upcoming lessons, cancel an upcoming lesson and reschedule a make-up class.

Students commit to a weekly lesson for 10 weeks, following the NSW public school term calendar. Private school students still attend the full 10-week term, even if their school term is shorter. Lessons are 30, 45, or 60 minutes, and a reminder email is sent 32 hours before each lesson. Term lengths are fixed and non-negotiable, and requests to permanently change a lesson day, time, or location after the term starts cannot be guaranteed. Missed lessons can be converted into makeup credits if the rescheduling rules are met – please see our makeup credit policy for full details.

Holiday lessons are booked in advance at your request. A seperate invoice is issued upon booking.

Home Lessons:
The tutor travels to your home address to teach. This is best suited for those stretched for time and need one less pick-up/drop-off or need to get dinner ready. Students must have their own acoustic/electronic drum kit at home and a suitable space with minimal distractions. Travel fees are included in the price for Home Lessons.

Studio Lessons:
The student comes to the tutor’s home studio to learn. Our studio is equipped with two electronic drum kits, an abundance of books and teaching resources as well as video and audio recording functionality. Please do not ring the door bell when you arrive as this may disrupt the conclusion of the previous student’s lesson. Patiently wait at the gate and the tutor will come out to meet you at the commencement of your lesson time. Parent’s are not able to sit in on lessons.

Online Lessons:
The student learns in the comfort of their own home via Zoom. The student must use a charged device such as a tablet or laptop with a large enough screen. Place the device side-on to the drum kit so that the student can view the screen and the camera views the drum kit. Only the tops of knees and face needs to fit within the frame. The Zoom details to join the lesson can be found in the lesson reminder.

30 mins: $630

45 mins: $945

60 mins: $1260

Lessons in your own home incur a $150 per term call-out travel fee

All pricing is inclusive of GST. Term Fees increase annually in line with Sydney Teachers Music Association Recommended Industry Rates

Invoices are sent two weeks prior to each term and payment is collected at the commencement of each term.

Payments are automatically debited on the invoice due date from your nominated bank account through GoCardless. Term fees are non-refundable.

To cancel a lesson time, log in to your account and cancel the lesson in the calendar. If more than 24 hours notice is given, a make-up credit is awarded.

  • If 24 hours rescheduling notice is given, you will receive a makeup credit.
  • A maximum of two makeup credits are given per term.
  • Rescheduling a lesson to a different time on the same day will not count as using a makeup credit, as long as you provide sufficient notice and an alternative time is available.
  • Make-up credits expire after 30 days or at the end of term, whichever comes first.
  • Make up lessons will not be scheduled during the school holidays and cannot be credited toward next term’s fees. Make up lessons are a convenient way to ensure that all lessons are taught within the term.
  • If two or more reasonable attempts have been made to offer a suitable makeup lesson and the times do not work with your schedule, the makeup lesson is considered forfeited.

To terminate tuition at onbeat, please fill out the discontinuation form. Four weeks notice is required before the start of a new term to avoid paying the next term’s fee. We turn away many students due to time slots being unavailable as your time is reserved for the upcoming term. We appreciate your understanding in this.
